Created: 2nd Dec 2014

Bristol Airport has today announced that it is to put out its airport taxi/private hire car service to tender.

Bristol Airport is the ninth largest airport in the UK and the fifth largest airport outside of London. In 2013 it handled over 6.1 million passengers with planning approvals now in place for 10 million passengers per annum.

Taxi/private hire companies are invited to express their interest in providing a taxi/private hire service to the Airport, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Bristol Airport became the first airport in Britain to achieve WorldHost Recognised Business status, demonstrating its commitment to welcoming visitors to the South West and South Wales. The taxi/private hire business partner will play an important role in providing a high quality service to passengers.

Kate Ridgers, Head of Commercial Development at Bristol Airport said: “With the expiry of the existing agreement due early in 2015, we wish to tender the service to ensure we have the right business partner to provide the best taxi/private hire service to our passengers.”

Expressions of interest for the concession are required in writing by 10 December 2014. Interested parties should contact [email protected] for further information.
