Pula is known as a lively community with good restaurants and cultural events. Its main attractions are the Roman ruins, in particular the Pula Amphitheatre, and is a great base for exploring the nearby islands of Brijuni National Park.

- Visit the Roman amphitheatre
Pula's most imposing sight is the 1st-century Roman amphitheatre overlooking the harbour northeast of the Old Town. Designed to host gladiatorial contests, it could accommodate up to 20,000 spectators.
- Enjoy the picturesque charm of Rovinj
Rovinj was originally an island, but 250 years ago the narrow channel, which separated it from the mainland, was filled in. It is very lively with numerous cafes and restaurants, galleries and an active fishing port.
