Things to do in Verona

Lake Garda
  1. Visit Italy’s third largest Amphitheatre

Verona is famous for its Roman Arena, completed around 30AD. The interior is very impressive and is virtually intact, and has remained in use even today for public events, fairs, theatre and open-aired opera during warm summer nights.

  2. See Juliet’s House from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet

It is believed that the house at No.23 Via Cappello was the home of Juliet. The 13th century building with its elegant building, with Juliet’s famous statue in the courtyard, is a must see for all visitors.

  3. Tour the Duomo

Located in Piazza del Duomo, Verona’s cathedral was built in the 12th century but was not completed until the 17th century.

  4. Explore Lake Garda

Easily reached from Verona, Lake Garda is Italy’s largest fresh water lake. Take a boat cruise to the many stunning towns on the water’s edge, bathe in the clear waters or take a stroll through the Medieval lanes full of trattorias and boutiques.

  5. Head to Giardino Giuto, the famous gardens of Verona

Admire the beauty of the 14th century garden filled with statues and fountains and climb up to the master balcony for an exceptional view of the city.
