Things to do in Knock

Westport House
  1. Explore the County Mayo

Fly to Knock and explore Country Mayo - one of Ireland’s most scenic counties. There’s its craggy coastline lashed by the powerful Atlantic and charming villages to visit from beautifully situated Westport to the peaceful town of Cong.

  2. Take a trip to Achill Island

Beautiful, rugged, wild and windswept, the picturesque Achill Island is the largest island off the coast of Ireland and is linked by bridge to mainland County Mayo.

  3. Visit the National Museum of Ireland Country Life, Castlebar

The first branch of the National Museum to be situated outside Dublin, the Country Life Museum portrays the life of ordinary people who lived in Ireland from 1850-1950. Housed within a beautiful High Victorian Gothic-style house, the museum also encompasses extensive gardens.

  4. Take in the atmosphere of traditional pubs and Irish music

As well as informal music sessions every night in pubs, there are many annual festivals such as the Féile Chois Chuain in Louisburg.
