Online travel insurance launched by Bristol International
Bristol International Airport has teamed up with travel insurance specialists PJ Hayman to offer passengers protection when heading off on their holidays. Travel Plus provides a one-stop-shop for leisure travellers looking for wide-ranging cover when booking their latest break.
Travel Plus is a complete travel insurance package designed for individuals and families looking for peace of mind and protection when travelling abroad, as well as pre-travel cover in the event of cancellation. Single-trip and annual cover options are available, with the ability to 'quote and buy' online via Bristol International's web site (www.bristolairport.co.uk).
Features include free cover for children, a 24 hour medical emergency helpline, generous cover limits and, unlike most travel insurance policies, cover also includes Bondplus, which covers against the financial failure of a travel or accommodation provider.
Kate Ridgers, Commercial Development Manager at Bristol International Airport, said:
"With around 300,000 visits a month, Bristol International's web site is often the first port of call for travellers across the South West when arranging a holiday. We can now offer a complete travel insurance package at competitive premiums, so that when customers book a holiday they have the option of taking out cover to protect them should anything go wrong."
Travel Plus compares favourably against well-known brands across a range of ages and scenarios. For example, a 45 year old taking out single-trip cover for a family of four going to Spain for nine days would pay £28.30 with Travel Plus, a saving of £7.70 against Tesco Travel Insurance and the Post Office, and £20.51 compared to Lloyds TSB.
Members of Bristol International's Travel Rewards programme receive an online discount of 10 per cent on both standard and premier cover.
