News Release (29/07/11)
Bristol Airport, Flybe and Causeway Coast and Glens recently hosted a visit to Belfast City to showcase Belfast and the surrounding area to some of Bristol, Bath and the south west regional travel agents.
This visit was used to raise the awareness of attractions in the Belfast locality and included a tour of the iconic Titanic Quarter, a driving tour of the Causeway Coastal Route, and a tasting visit to Bushmills Whiskey Distillery.
The action packed tour also extended to soak up the culture and history of the area and included a visit to UNESCO’s World Heritage Site the Giant’s Causeway, local museums, medieval castle and art galleries.
Jason Wescott, Head of Sales and Marketing at Bristol Airport, said:
“Working in partnership with Flybe
www.flybe.com and Causeway Coast and Glens
www.causewaycoastandglens.com, gave us the opportunity of showing the inspiring attractions available by using Belfast as a gateway to the area.”
“Visits such as this, is important to the travel agents, as it assists them when giving customers an enhanced experience when the travel agent can speak from a personal visit or experience. This all helps with advising customers on their next city or leisure break.”
Bristol Airport is preparing for a busy summer with over 900,000 passengers expected to pass through the Airport during the school holiday period. Passengers are being advised to arrive two hours in advance of their departure time in order to complete essential processes such as check-in, security and boarding.
