News Release (18/07/11)
Research carried out by YouGov on behalf of
Bristol Airport has revealed that more British holidaymakers missed their own bed than anything else when away on their main holiday last year (18%), including friends (2%), family (6%) or home-cooked food (2%).
While over a quarter (26%) of those surveyed said they did not miss anything when away on holiday last year, others admitted missing their favourite TV programme (12%), their pets (9%) and even their car (less than 1%)!
Holidaymakers from the West Midlands were most likely to miss their beds the most (23%) compared to only 16% of those from the South West. Students (2 per cent) were most likely to confess to missing their work colleagues when away last year.
Simon Preece, Head of Retail at Bristol Airport, said:
“It is natural to miss familiar faces and home comforts when on holiday, but at least you can make sure your car is well looked after while you are away by choosing a safe and secure car park.
“All Bristol Airport’s car parks have been awarded
Park Mark Safer Parking status are well-lit and staffed 24 hours a day.”
A range of different car parking options are available to suit the requirements of travellers, from a
premium concierge service to the lowest priced on-site offer in
