Aircraft noise
We’re very aware of the impact aircraft noise can have on those living under our flight paths and near our site. That’s why we work hard to monitor and mitigate the levels of noise made, wherever possible.
Noise Action Plan 2019-2024
Our first Noise Action Plan covered the period from 2010 to 2015, and our second from 2014 to 2018. This is our third Noise Action Plan covering the period 2019 to 2024 and where applicable, includes actions beyond this time period. Consultation on our draft Noise Action Plan ran for 12 weeks from the 10th July 2018 until the 2nd October 2018.
We have collated all responses made during the consultation and have updated this Noise Action Plan where appropriate based on feedback received. A full consultation report has been provided as an appendix in this final Noise Action Plan.
The Noise Action Plan (2019 – 2024) was fully adopted on 11th February 2019 by the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs for Bristol Airport as required by the Environmental Noise Directive and the Environmental Noise (England) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The main purpose of an airports Noise Action Plan is to effectively plan, manage and where possible reduce the adverse effects of aviation noise associated to our operations.
