Created: 31st Mar 2015
Arrow Cars has been awarded a five year contract to provide private hire vehicles for passengers travelling to and from Bristol Airport, making it the UK’s largest airport taxi provider.
The number of staff employed as part of the dedicated taxi operation at Bristol Airport will increase from 60 to 85 as part of the announcement. Arrow already operates taxi services at Manchester, Leeds Bradford and East Midlands airports.
Liz Macnaughton, Ground Transportation Manager at Bristol Airport, said:
“Following a detailed tender process, Arrow Cars was successful in securing a five year contract which we believe will deliver an enhanced service for our passengers. Several improvements will be introduced as a result of passenger feedback, including self-service check in which allows pre-booked customers arriving at the Airport to access their taxi without attending the booking office, saving valuable time in the process.”
Arrow Cars’ Chairman, David Richmond, said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to operate the private hire concession at Bristol Airport. It now gives us a national presence to complement our existing operations at Leeds Bradford, Manchester and East Midlands Airport.
"Our existing operations have gone from strength to strength with sustained growth. Our focus is always on our customers. Giving them a high quality customer experience from the initial booking process through to the journey itself is paramount.
"Whether booking online, at one of our airport desks or by phone, we give our customers a seamless experience. We will shortly introduce the new booking app for Bristol Airport which will further enhance the service. We are looking forward to offering our Bristol customers the same high quality Arrow service."
