New winter routes from Bristol Airport
Created: 1st Nov 2018
Today TUI UK, the UK’s largest holiday operator, launches its winter programme and reveals growth plans for Bristol airport with new weekly routes to Keflavik, Dalaman and Naples and additional flights to Tenerife for the 2019 season.
On sale now, the winter 2019 programme will continue to offer holidaymakers in the South West of England more choice and flexibility than ever before, with an increased capacity of nearly 8,000 additional seats at Bristol Airport. Continuing to recognise that not everyone wants to holiday for 7 or 14 nights, customers will also have the option of 10 and 11 night holidays to Malaga in Spain and Palma in Majorca at the end season of next winter. There will also be an additional day added to the flight programme for flights from Bristol airport to Tenerife.
The move to introduce these routes is part of TUI’s strategy to ensure customers across the UK can fly from their local airport and stay at the best hotels in some of the most exciting destinations around the world, including TUI flagship properties such as the TUI Sensatori Resort Tenerife.
TUI UK’s Director of Aviation Planning Karen Switzer said:
“Adding more choice and flexibility for the winter 2019 season demonstrates our commitment to Bristol Airport and the local area, as we continue to focus on expanding access to our amazing range of holidays through an extended flying programming concentrated on the core destinations that we know our customers want to visit.”
Nigel Scott, Business Development Director, Bristol Airport said:
“We are delighted with the continued expansion of TUI’s services from Bristol Airport which sees holidays and flights on sale into the next decade from the largest airport in the South West and Wales region of the UK. The new services to Memmingham and Toulouse will be particularly welcomed by Winter sports enthusiasts and the extended long-haul service to Cancun will provide the opportunity to enjoy the sun during the Winter season. In addition, TUI will deploy a third based short haul aircraft during the Winter providing additional capacity to destinations such as Tenerife, Naples and Dalaman.”
For the first time ever, TUI will also be selling summer 2020 holidays from early November – the earliest the tour operator has sold a summer programme. This is to provide customers that want to secure their favourite hotels or preferred flight options earlier than ever before. TUI customers will also be offered thousands of free kids places and offers on all of the TUI favourite hotel concepts including Family Life, Sensatori, Splashworld, Holiday Village and Suneo Club.
