The flights took off yesterday and are the first of five new easyJet routes launching at Bristol this summer. This growth will be supported by the arrival of a 17th aircraft at the airline’s South West base, meaning that easyJet will offer 10% more flights from Bristol compared to summer 2018.

easyJet expects to carry out more than 28,000 passengers across the two new routes. Both routes will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the summer season and are expected to prove popular with travellers looking for a stylish south of France city break or a Greek island getaway that offers both rich culture and lively night life.

Flights are now available online at easyJet.com with fares from as little as £27.25 to Montpellier and £23.21 to Rhodes.*

easyJet is also set to launch new routes from Bristol to Milan and Brindisi in Italy and Biarritz in France, giving passengers in the south west the opportunity to explore even more hidden gems of Europe this summer.

easyJet has also increased its Bristol – Paris Charles de Gaulle frequency, adding an additional daily flight to and from the French capital, providing even more opportunity for customers to enjoy a city getaway and a convenient schedule will allow for great value day trips for commuters from businesses across the South West.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating our inaugural flights from Bristol to Montpellier and Rhodes, the first of many more to look forward to at Bristol this summer.

“The addition of another aircraft will help us to deliver long term, sustainable growth at Bristol whilst providing passengers with a greater range of leisure and business destinations, all with great value fares and excellent customer service.”

Nigel Scott, Business Development Director, Bristol Airport said:

“We are delighted to welcome the inaugural easyJet flights linking Bristol to Montpellier and Rhodes. The destinations further extend the choice available to passengers in the region. Montpelier has previously been an unserved destination on the route network and passengers are now able to enjoy this exciting new city destination and its perfect location not far from the Pyrenees Mountains or the Mediterranean Sea. We look forward to the busy summer season and the ongoing partnership between easyJet and Bristol Airport in the future.”

easyJet now flies to 74 destinations from Bristol, offering up to 740 flights a week. For more information about easyJet’s network from Bristol and to book visit easyjet.com
