Rail Upgrade Works Spring 2019

Network Rail will be carrying out a series of upgrade works during Spring 2019.

Great Western Railway passengers travelling to/from the airport by train are advised to check their journey before they travel as it may be affected. 

What's happening?

• Devon mainline – Sun 17 Feb to Fri 8 Mar – disruption between Plymouth and Newton Abbot and also between Exeter St Davids and Taunton; for more information visit GWR.com/SWupgrade
• South Wales mainline – various weekends and bank holidays until Oct 2019 – work to electrify the line between Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central; for more information visit GWR.com/Electrification
• Bristol & North Somerset – weekends of 16/17, 23/24 and 30/31 Mar – disruption between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton/Weston-super-Mare; for more information visit GWR.com/Upgrade
• Bath & Wiltshire – weekends of 6/7, 13/14 Apr and 11/12 May – disruption between Bath Spa, Swindon, Westbury and Bristol Temple Meads; for more information visit GWR.com/Upgrade
