The Bristol Airport Local Community Fund has been established to invest in a range of local projects which benefit the local community and the environment. Its main purpose is to mitigate the environmental and social impacts of the Airport’s operations and give something back to the surrounding communities who are affected by being situated in close proximity to an international airport. It reflects our aim to develop our airport in a sustainable way, respectful of the local community and the environment.
The Fund supports projects in the following areas:
The Fund’s area of benefit concentrates on the areas most affected by aircraft operations and comprises the parishes of Winford, Wrington, Backwell, Brockley, Cleeve and Barrow Gurney.
The committee are currently inviting applications for grants for noise insulation for houses in a specific area around Downside Road, who have already been contacted directly.
A new set of criteria for noise insulation grants will begin in 2015. Further information on which will be available on this website once the details have been finalised.

Applications for funding will need to be received by the Local Community Fund Administrator at least 2 weeks prior to the above meeting dates to be included for consideration.

Recent community projects
Bristol Airport has donated funds to a variety of local community projects. Support is focused on projects offering recreational, educational or environmental benefits to our region.
