The following information outlines the rules about what Tax & Duty free goods passengers are able to buy when travelling from Bristol International.

Permitted tax & duty free purchases vary depending on whether you are a passenger travelling to a country outside the EU (international), or within the EU. If you are unsure please check your destination country on the table below:

Please Note:

  • The above information applies only to the purchase and carriage of tax & duty free products when travelling out of Bristol International to a domestic, EU or International destination.  Customers are advised to visit the HM Customs and Excise website for further information on the allowance of goods individuals are permitted to bring into the UK depending on their country of origin.
  • Passengers must be 17 years of age to purchase tobacco products in the UK
  • Passengers must be 18 years of age to purchase alcohol products in the UK
  • A boarding card must be presented at time of purchase for tax & duty free goods.
  • Please be aware that if you are travelling outside the UK you may have to pay tax on your purchases if you bring them back with you when returning to the UK.
  • Passengers are advised to check with country of destination for local age restrictions on the import of liquor and tobacco goods.
