1. What identification do I need when flying?

The type of identification you can use varies depending on where you are travelling. Please check with the Airline or Tour Operator (useful links) that you are travelling with for further information.

2. What time should I check-in for a flight?

Passengers must allow adequate time to complete the check-in process and proceed through security.

Passengers are strongly advised to check-in at the airport at least two hours before a scheduled flight and three hours before a charter flight. For full details you should refer to your ticket or contact the Airline/Tour Operator that you are travelling with.

3. What is my luggage allowance?

6.  Who do I contact regarding pet travel?

For further information regarding pet transportation from Bristol Airport please contact your airline directly. Further details about the Pet Passport Scheme is available at www.defra.gov.uk. For quarantine information please contact Overhill Kennels on 01275 832489 or email k9meg@overhill.co.uk.

7.  I need to speak to easyJet, how can I do this?

For all queries regarding easyJet, please call 0843 104 5000. easyJet do not have an internal airport phone number and we will be unable to transfer you if you call the Bristol Airport switchboard.

8.  How can I get to Bristol city centre from the airport?

There is a dedicated coach service; the Airport Flyer Express Link that runs every 10 minutes during the day. Tickets cost £11.00 return and can be purchased on board.


There is a dedicated taxi service operating from the airport; Checker Cars, you can contact the booking office on +44 (0)1275 475000 or book online at www.checkercars.com.

9.  Who should I contact regarding Special Assistance at the airport?

All special assistance requirements should be pre-booked through your tour operator and/or airline prior to arrival at the airport. For general enquiries regarding special assistance at the airport please telephone +44 (0)1275 473403.

Personal Items

For enquiries regarding personal items of hand luggage lost at the airport or on an aircraft please telephone +44 (0)1275 473573 with details of when the item was misplaced, your flight details and a description of the item.

Luggage Lost In Transit

If you arrived at Bristol Airport within the last three days and your luggage is still outstanding please contact Menzies Aviation on +44 (0)1275 475532 for easyJet, Aer Lingus and Aurigny flights or Servisair on +44 (0)1275 473543 for all other airline operators, excluding Air France and KLM. For any passengers who travelled with Air France or KLM, please contact +44 (0)870 850 1839.

If you arrived at Bristol Airport more than three days ago and your luggage is still outstanding please contact your airline directly.

13.  Are you arranging a fire work display or Chinese lantern release within a 10 mile radius of Bristol Airport?

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is calling on all organisers of fire work displays or sky lantern releases to register the event in advance, so that airports can warn airspace users in the area. The CAA has issued guidance and all organisers are asked to contact either the CAA or the airport with details of the event.

14. What happens if I have a prohibited item at security control?

The items involved will either have to be disposed of, or customers can take advantage of “MailandFly”, a postal service provided by our partner Bagport.

MailandFly is a mail service located directly at security control. Customers are given a choice to throw a prohibited item into the waste bin or into the MailandFly collecting container. When choosing the MailandFly service, customers receive an individual code that works as a tracking number. Customers then can register via the internet to retrieve their item. There is a charge for this service, provided by Bagport. For further details visit Mail and Fly.
