Providing delegates with the opportunity to practise in realistic training environments and demonstrate breathing apparatus skills appropriate to their role as an Auxiliary Fire Fighter.
1 day bespoke (6-8 hours instruction)
At the end of the course the delegate will be assessed and given the opportunity to demonstrate competence in utilising Breathing Apparatus as part of a fire fighting team.
The delegate will be able to efficiently follow the manufacturers donning procedures and demonstrate their ability to use breathing apparatus safely and correctly, utilising the appropriate search and rescue techniques.
They will also be able to interpret the guidance and legislation concerning Breathing Apparatus Entry Control and identify with the importance of, leadership, communication and team work whilst wearing breathing apparatus and appreciating the importance of Fire Team safety and the maintenance of equipment.
Note: The duration and course content will reflect the experience of delegates and the Company training requirements.
