The first Aer Arann and Aer Lingus franchise flight to Shannon took to the skies yesterday, just over four weeks after the new service was announced.
Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann, will now provide direct flights to Shannon from Bristol six days per week.
To mark the celebration, passengers checking in were entertained by musicians playing the traditional Irish music for which the Shannon region is famous.
