  • Check in via the KLM app or visit one of the desks in the terminal on arrival.
  • Drop any hold luggage at the check-in desks and proceed to departures.
  • For the fastest route through security, use our Fast Track service.
  • In most cases, you’ll receive your boarding pass for your connecting flight when you check in for your first flight. This means you don’t have to check in again for your next flight.
  • Eligible passengers can enjoy time in the 1903 Lounge before departure.

  • If you haven’t already received your boarding pass for your connecting flight, you can go to the KLM transfer desk or use one of the self-service machines.
Do you need to collect your baggage?

For most transfers, your baggage will usually be sent to your connecting flight automatically. Airport staff will ensure it gets onto your next flight, so you only have to pick it up at your final destination.

If you’re travelling on two separate tickets or if you booked a separate ticket with an airline that is not a SkyTeam Partner, your bags will be delivered to baggage reclaim and you’ll need to collect them from the belt and check them in again.

Transfer times

When you book your trip, transfer times are taken into account, so you should have enough time to get to your connecting flight.  Minimum transfer times at Schiphol are 40 minutes for Schengen flights and 50 minutes for non-Schengen flights.
