  1. Tour the Palaces

    The Joseun Dynasty built five Grand Palaces during its rule, including Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung. See changing of the guards, three times each day in the forecourts.

  2. Visit the National Museum of Korea

    The largest in museum in Asia.

  3. Climb Bugaksan

    Several trails take hikers through reconstructed 15th-century gates and along Seoul's ancient fortress wall. From the top of the 342-m ascent, there is a fantastic view of the capital.

  4. Namdaemun Market

    Browse the street-vendor stalls and pick up inexpensive clothing, fabrics, food and more.

  5. Stroll along Cheonggyecheon Stream

    Located 15ft below street level, with small waterfalls and nearly two dozen overhead bridges.
