KLM sees passenger figures increase and adds a fourth daily frequency.

KLM has announced a fourth daily service from Bristol Airport to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for summer 2011. Increased frequency on the popular route will further cement Bristol’s position as one of KLM’s most successful departure points on its extensive UK network. The new frequency commences on 27th March 2011 and alongside improved timings for the original three daily flights, the schedule will increase long haul connectivity via its award winning hub, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Says Henri Hourcade, AIR FRANCE KLM General Manager UK & Ireland: “We are delighted to further improve the KLM service on such an important regional route, and hope it will be warmly welcomed by our passengers. We are very happy to provide better connectivity to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for both leisure and business passengers, by increasing our three daily frequencies to four from next March.”

Shaun Browne, Aviation Director at Bristol Airport, said: “The addition of a fourth daily flight between Bristol and Amsterdam further strengthens the South West’s international connectivity. Convenient and frequent access to KLM’s global hub opens up onward connections to destinations worldwide. This announcement significantly improves the business travel offer from Bristol Airport.”

From 27th March 2011 the new flight schedule will be:

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, with its SkyTeam partners, connects Bristol to over 800 destinations worldwide via four daily flights to Amsterdam. The carrier’s hub, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, offers smooth connections with just 40 minutes connection time for short haul flights and only 50 minutes for long haul flights. Passengers therefore no longer need to travel to a larger airport to experience global travel; KLM offers worldwide connections from the comfort and convenience of a local airport.
