Bristol Inclusion Committee Forum

The Bristol Inclusion Committee (BIC Forum) consists of representatives from local charities and disability organisations, as well as disabled service users.

When does the BIC Forum meet?

The Bristol Inclusion Committee Forum meets biannually at Bristol Airport.

What is the purpose of the BIC Forum?

The forum gives charities and groups the opportunity to give their feedback on what is important to them when travelling through the airport.

December 2023 Forum update

At the December 2023 forum, panel members were updated on the airport's recent performance. This included the Special Assistance business partner (a specialist team who provide support to the airport’s disabled passengers and those who require some form of additional assistance when travelling).  As well as providing guidance and advice to the Airport’s building and infrastructure teams, who are currently involved with designing and planning the next phase of improvements and developments to the Airport's terminal, public transport interchange and car parks.

Andy Wright, Chair of the Forum, said:

“It was a highly successful meeting, and I am delighted that Bristol Airport seeks assistance from our panel, adopting a ‘co-production’ approach to all of their major projects and designs, to ensure that they are inclusive and suitable for all passengers.”

Martyn Collings, Ground Handling Performance & Contracts Manager, Bristol Airport said:

“These forums are vital for us to ensure that all our customers have the same opportunities and enjoy a seamless experience when travelling through the Airport. The Forum also provides the opportunity of liaising with our teams to ensure that all future plans continue to deliver an inclusive and accessible facility.”
