Special Assistance parking & transport

Blue Badge or special assistance bays are clearly marked in our car parks.  These are located either closer to the terminal or next to the reception building in Silver Zone.

All our shuttle buses are fitted with wheelchair ramps and are certified to carry one wheelchair.  A wheelchair ramp request button is fitted to the outside of the bus.

Special Assistance passenger drop off and pick up

Blue badge holders can receive up to 40 minutes parking for a reduced fee of £8.50 in the Drop Off & Pick Up Car Park.  Simply drive up to the exit barrier and scan the barcode on the reverse of the blue badge.

Family and friends who are dropping off customers with a Blue Badge, will still be able to use the Drop Off & Pick Up Car Park by scanning the Blue Badge on exit at the barrier and benefiting from the 40 minutes stay duration for £8.50. If the Blue Badge holder needs to take the Blue Badge away with them on their travels, then please press the help button on the exit barrier for further assistance.

It is always best to book assistance in advance via your airline. When you arrive at the Drop Off & Pick Up Car Park, please use the Assistance point next to the Transport Interchange entrance to let the Assisted Travel team know you have arrived.

Around 15,000 passengers with reduced mobility use Bristol Airport every month. Organising assistance at least 48 hours in advance helps to make sure we’re well prepared and can offer the best possible service.  If you request assistance late or on the day of travel, you may experience delays receiving assistance in the airport.
