Charity of the year

In recent years Bristol Airport’s staff, business partners and passengers have raised over £330,000 for a variety of charities.

This year the Bristol Airport team have voted for Teenage Cancer Trust to become the airport’s nominated local charity.

Teenage Cancer Trust puts young people in the best possible place, physically, mentally, and emotionally, throughout their cancer treatment and beyond. They do it through their expert nurses, support teams, and hospital units.  The Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and Bristol Children’s Hospital provide specialist facilities in the South West.  The Nurse Consultant, Youth Support Co-Ordinator and support team, are based at the centre of excellence in Bristol, however they provide specialist care to young people right across the South West through their Outreach programme. Seven specialist nurses are based in the region, providing treatment, care and support to young people in their local community. They champion the needs of young people with cancer and provide specialist expertise and care in local hospitals across the South West region.
