Created: 29th Oct 2026Bristol Airport is bringing its careers fair to Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday 17 November, giving local people the opportunity to discover the wide range of jobs and career opportunities available at the Airport.
Taking place at the North Somerset Council Town Hall Library, the event will connect jobseekers with employers based at Bristol Airport, helping people from Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding area explore potential career paths closer to home.
A wide range of Bristol Airport business partners have already signed up to attend the event, including DHL, ICTS, Swissport, HMSHost, Unifi Aviation Services, ABM Experience Solutions, Griffiths Construction and North Air. Representatives from Weston College and City of Bristol College will also be on hand to discuss apprenticeship opportunities and the Take Off Programme - a free employability and skills initiative designed to help local unemployed individuals, young people, and underrepresented groups transition into sustainable careers at the Airport and surrounding businesses.
Each business partner will be available to speak to visitors about their organisation, the roles they offer, and the skills and experience needed to pursue a career at Bristol Airport.
From customer service and ground handling to retail, hospitality and aviation operations, Bristol Airport is home to a diverse range of businesses offering opportunities for people at different stages of their careers.
The careers fair aims to raise awareness among the local community, whether people are looking for their first job, considering a career change or hoping to develop their skills and progress into a new role.
The Airport now has more than 5,800 employees with 70% of staff living within a 20-mile radius. One of the benefits of working at the Airport is free staff travel on key passenger bus services including the A1 Flyer to and from Bristol via Bedminster, A3 Flyer to and from Weston-super-Mare via Worle, Congresbury and Cleeve and the A4 Air Decker to and from Bath via Saltford, Keynsham and Hengrove.
