easyJet announces new winter route from Bristol Airport

easyJet has today announced a new direct route from Bristol Airport to Strasbourg, further expanding its network from the South West and providing customers with even more choice for their winter holiday.

The new service will start on 20 November and operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays with easyJet being the only airline offering a direct route between Bristol and Strasbourg, providing convenient access to one of Europe’s top festive destinations.

Known as the "Capital of Christmas", Strasbourg is home to one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets in Europe, with its UNESCO-listed city centre transformed by festive lights, decorations, seasonal food stalls and more than 300 traditional wooden chalets spread across the city.

The new route offers customers in the South West the opportunity to experience the city's renowned Christmas shopping and festive atmosphere this winter season.

The new route announcement builds on easyJet’s continued growth at Bristol Airport, following the recent arrival of its 20th based aircraft and 13th modern fuel-efficient NEO aircraft at the airline’s Bristol base. The investment supports around 400 jobs and enables the airline to continue expanding its network from the region.

easyJet now offers 91 routes from Bristol to 27 countries across Europe and North Africa, serving around six million customers each year from the airport. Recent additions to the network include Reus, Thessaloniki, Seville, Cape Verde and Bari, with Budapest flights starting this winter, providing even more opportunities for customers in the South West and Wales to explore Europe and beyond.

The growth also supports inbound tourism and regional connectivity, helping bring more visitors and economic benefits to the South West.
